Before setup
A few decisions make the technical setup much clearer.
- Choose the room and identify the areas that matter to the care plan.
- Decide whether the model will use a suitable WiFi network or its cellular connection.
- Agree who should receive configured notifications and what they should do next.
- Keep the supplied product and setup information nearby.
Set up in this order

Place Guardian
Follow the current in-box placement guidance. If the room is unusual or shared, ask Aware before fixing the position.

Connect the Aware app
Use the official app, sign in with the intended account and follow the current pairing flow.

Prepare the care circle
Invite only the people who should have access and agree how they will respond to a notification.

Verify the setup
Confirm Guardian appears online and that nominated contacts can receive a planned test notification.
Keep the boundary clear
Guardian is not an emergency service and no sensing system detects every event. Keep the existing care and emergency response plan in place.
