"Guardian has been brilliant for our whole family. My brother in Melbourne, sister in Brisbane and I all have the app, and we coordinate care between us."
When I took a job in London, my biggest worry was how to keep an eye on my nan back in Sydney. She's 86 and determined to stay in her unit in Cronulla.Last month, I noticed from the activity timeline that Nan hadn't left her bedroom since the previous evening. This was completely outside her normal pattern, so I immediately called her. When she didn't answer, I contacted my brother who went straight over. He found her confused and feverish with pneumonia. The paramedics said if we'd waited even a few more hours, it could have been much worse. Without Guardian detecting this unusual lack of movement, we wouldn't have known anything was wrong until her scheduled carer visit two days later.
