"Guardian has been the perfect compromise. Instead of installing cameras which Dad would hate, the discreet sensors just detect movement in different areas of his home."
After Dad had a stroke last year, the doctors thought he'd need full-time care. Being the stubborn Queenslander that he is, he wasn't having it.There was a moment a few months back when Guardian notified me of unusual night-time bathroom activity. When I asked Dad about it, he admitted he'd been having some issues but was too embarrassed to mention it. We got him to the GP right away and caught a urinary tract infection before it became serious. The doctor said in elderly stroke patients, these infections can often lead to confusion and falls if left untreated.
