# Aware Technologies

> Aware Technologies (Australia) Pty Ltd makes Guardian, a non-wearable radar sensor for fall detection and home monitoring, and the Aware app. Guardian senses movement in a room without cameras, microphones or a wearable, and sends configured notifications to the people a household chooses.

Important boundaries:

- Guardian and the Aware app do not replace emergency services, clinical care, in-person checks or an agreed response plan. In an emergency in Australia, call 000.
- The connected service sends configured alerts and insights to nominated contacts. It is not an emergency response service.
- No sensing system detects every event. Room layout and placement affect what Guardian can observe.
- Guardian may be eligible under some Support at Home or NDIS plans. Eligibility and approval depend on the person, their plan and the relevant provider or funder.
